By accessing or using HopSmart (including our Progressive Web App interface), you agree to abide by these Terms of Use and our community rules. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Platform Mission & Limitations

HopSmart is a community-powered commuter intelligence platform designed to compile local transit lifehacks, station alerts, and route alternatives. We do not operate buses, trains, or minibus taxi networks. We serve strictly as an information companion to help everyday South African commuters make safer and smarter travel decisions.

3. Commuter Conduct & Community Guidelines

To keep HopSmart reliable, constructive, and safe, you agree that you will not post content that:

• Contains false, misleading, or unverified information regarding transit safety, schedules, or pricing.
• Aims to spark unnecessary panic, harassment, or rank conflicts.
• Promotes spam, commercial advertisements, or unrelated link referrals.
• Violates standard copyright or intellectual property rights.

Contributors are encouraged to share genuine, helpful commuting strategies, minibus taxi fare calculations, Gautrain delay schedules, peak-hour shortcuts, or station safety reviews.

4. Crowdsourced Content Licensing

When you post a commuter tip, alert, or review on HopSmart, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to store, format, index, categorize, translate, and display that content publicly to help other commuters navigate urban mobility systems.

5. Community Moderation, Ranks & Badges

To foster community accountability, we award Verified Commuter badges, Community Ranks, and a dynamic Trust Score. We reserve the absolute right to moderate, hide, or delete tips that fail to comply with our standards, and we may suspend or restrict access to commuters who consistently post inaccurate or hostile content.

6. Intellectual Property

The HopSmart name, brand aesthetics, layouts, and custom 3D glowing lightning bolt logo assets are protected under proprietary trademark and copyright laws. You may not copy, replicate, or scrape our platform's curated design tokens or global components without prior written permission.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms periodically to reflect new features, AI integrations, or legal guidelines. Continued utilization of HopSmart following updates indicates your complete acceptance of the revised Terms of Use.
